Little Theatre is the oldest theatrical organization in Oak Run, having originated informally in 1989 as part of the local library.
A small group of interested people came together and decided to offer short skits in the library.
They soon realized there was a need for theatrical entertainment for all of Oak Run's residents, and the library program wasn't suited to handle the
volume of attendees to each performance.
As their membership and talent base gradually increased, Little Theatre began to charge a nominal admission fee for the performances, and
expanded their skits to two and three act plays.
The first official president of Oak Run's Little Theatre was Katie Doyle, and she is still an active member of the group today.
What began as an occasional venture became an exciting annual event that most of our Oak Run residents look forward to attending each year.
